medrinky (“the service”) is a community for rating coffee cafes and matcha spots. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we'll ask you to re-accept on your next sign-in. The date above and the version number tell you which version is current.

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password to yourself, use a real email you check, and tell us if you think someone else got in.

You must be at least 13 years old to use medrinky. If you're under 13, please come back later. We don't knowingly collect info from kids under 13 (COPPA).

The ratings, photos, and notes you post are yours. You keep ownership. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, display, and make technical edits (resize, crop, convert formats) so your contributions surface across medrinky's features (feeds, search, a cafe's rating page, the map, and so on) for as long as your account is live. The sublicensable part just means we can hand off delivery to the providers we rely on (CDNs, image proxies, hosting), so your photos actually load fast for the people viewing them.

If you delete a rating or your account, we stop displaying that content publicly within 24 hours and purge personal data within 30 days. A couple of small things stick around in friendly form: a cafe's overall score keeps your past contribution as part of the average. Pulling it out after the fact would change numbers other people have already seen. And while we delete quickly, it can take a little time for backups or caches to fully clear on their own. Nothing we keep after deletion is tied to your name, photo, or anything that identifies you.

You agree not to:

• Post fake ratings, spam, or content from bots
• Upload images of people without their consent, NSFW content, or anything that violates someone else's rights
• Harass baristas, cafe owners, or other users. Criticism is fine, pile-ons are not
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise abuse the service
• Try to bypass moderation, rate-limits, or our verification systems

We can hide content, suspend an account, or close it entirely if it violates these Terms or our acceptable-use policy. We'll try to explain why. For serious violations (CSAM, threats, fraud) we won't.

You can close your account anytime from Settings → Account.

medrinky is provided “as is”. We try hard to keep it working but we don't promise it will be available, error-free, or that the content other users post is accurate.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is capped at $50, or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater. (medrinky doesn't charge users today, so practically: $50.)

If you believe content on medrinky infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice to dmca@medrinky.com with the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3). We respond promptly and may remove the content while we investigate.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute between us will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Virginia, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
